Scouts Summer Camp – Bovey Tracey- 2018

The Scout Troop Summer Camp took place in a Farmers field near Bovey Tracey in Devon for 9 days.
We had fantastic weather for the most part. The last few days had set in rain which did make for a hard time packing up.

The Scouts camped in patrols and were self sufficient in catering for themselves over wood fires.

Quite a few of our younger Scouts attending and did an amazing job. Overall, it was an amazing camp.

Campsite
Some pictures of the campsite showing in and around the site.

Climbing
The Scouts climbed and abseiled with DartRock at their indoor climbing wall.

Caving
The Scouts took part in Caving with DartRock.

Raft Coasteering
Something new this year with Rafting/Coasteering.

Hawking
The Scouts and Leaders went Hawking and flew a wide range of birds of prey. However, due to the rain and strong winds the session was cut short.
Although, still a very enjoyable afternoon.

Kayaking and Paddle Boarding
The Scouts went Kayaking and Paddle boarding in a lake. A fun filled afternoon with most of the Scouts in the water rather than on boats.
