The Scouts attended Molesey Boat Club in May and had a session in their Rowing Tank followed by a workout on the Argos.
The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts had a fantastic weekend at Bear Rails Camp site in Windows Great Park in May. The Sun was shining and the Sections took part in many activities.
The British Army sponsored the Army Mechanic Activity Badge for 300 Scouts.
The Scouts went to MOD Lyneham in Wiltshire, where all the Army’s professional engineers learn their trade and develop their skills.
A fantastic day had by all, including the Leaders.
The Scouts enjoyed a few shoots during the holiday break. We’re definitely seeing improvements in all of their aim.
The Esher District Cross Country race in April had a good turnout from all sections. Congratulations to Euan for winning the Scout Category.
The Cub and Scouts visited Portsmouth Harbour in March. Not many pictures, but they all had a great time.
Our annual Burns Night Supper in January. A great evening was had by all. And thank you to our Scout waiters who helped out.
The Scouts went to Hampton Court Palace Ice Skating on 14th December 2017.
They all had a great time despite the rain.
2nd Molesey’s Annual Awards & Birthday celebrations were held at Vine Hall on the 17th November 2017. We had good attendance from leaders, helpers, parents and group members which made for a great evening.

The President’s Cup was awarded to Philip K for his outstanding contributions to the 2nd Molesey Scout Group.

The Scout Troop Summer Camp took place in a Farmers field near Bovey Tracey in Devon for 9 days. It was a rainy start but held off while we erected tents and setup camp.
The Scouts camped in patrols and were self sufficient in catering for themselves over wood fires with supervision by the Explorer Scouts.

Climbing
The Scouts climbed and abseiled at Dart Rock demonstrating some excellent skills and daring deeds.
Hawking
The Scouts and Leaders went Hawking and flew a wide range of birds of prey.
Kayaking
The Scouts went Kayaking in Dartmouth estuary stopping off to build a fire and toast marshmallows.
Shooting
Shooting on a rainy day with explosive targets for that extra Bang.
Sports Day
Scouting Sports day for their athletes badge and a variety of competitive challenges.
