The Cubs attended District Cub Camp at Polyapes in June. Lots of activities throughout the site including our Assault course which was built and manned by some of the Scouts.
Overall a fun filled weekend.
District Archery Competition
Evie, Owen and Finlay took part in the District Archery Competition on Sunday 24th June at 1st ClayGate.
a huge congratulations for placing 2nd overall for team scores. Finlay had a brilliant session and landed 1st place for highest individual score.
Well done all of you!
Molesey Carnival
Fantastic weather for the parade again this year. Thank you to all the Leaders, Helpers and Parents that manned the BBQ, Tombola and Plate smash stalls.
The Cubs and Beavers looked fantastic in the parade and won the ‘Chris Hill’s Cup’.

Cub and Scout Activity Camp – Youlbury
The Cubs and Scouts went to Youlbury in Oxford for their Activity camp in June.
We were lucky to have glorious sunshine for most of the weekend. The Cubs and Scouts took part in Abseiling, Climbing Wall, Archery and Shooting.
For many of the Cubs it was their first time taking part in Archery and Shooting and they did very well.
National Physical Laboratory Science Evening
The Scouts visited the National Physical Laboratory in May.
Molesey Boat Club – Rowing Tank
The Scouts attended Molesey Boat Club in May and had a session in their Rowing Tank followed by a workout on the Argos.
2nd Molesey Group Camp – Bear Rails Windsor Great Park
The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts had a fantastic weekend at Bear Rails Camp site in Windows Great Park in May. The Sun was shining and the Sections took part in many activities.
Army Mechanics Day
The British Army sponsored the Army Mechanic Activity Badge for 300 Scouts.
The Scouts went to MOD Lyneham in Wiltshire, where all the Army’s professional engineers learn their trade and develop their skills.
A fantastic day had by all, including the Leaders.
Beaver Brooklands Museum
The Beavers visited Brooklands Museum in April.
Queen’s Scout Award
Congratulations to James for being awarded the Queen’s Scout Award at Windsor Castle on Sunday 22nd April 2018.
James and other Surrey Scouts were joined by Bear Grylls and Princess Beatrice of York.
The Queen’s Scout Award is the highest honour in Scouting and is awarded for outstanding personal achievement.
