What do scouts do?

We meet on Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm

Each Scout Troop consists of small units of six to eight scouts called a Patrol, led by a Patrol Leader with the help of an Assistant Patrol Leader.

At 2nd Molesey we have four Patrols called Stags, Moles, Panthers and Wolves.

On some Troop nights we work on badges ranging from the Global Challenge Award to the Entertainers’ badge. The highest award a Scout can gain is the Chief Scout’s Gold Award.

Outdoor activities feature prominently, with the highlight being camping. Scouts learn various skills such as map reading, camp cooking and first aid in preparation for camp. Rock climbing, caving, parascending, diving, coasteering, kayaking, hikes and community events are just some of the things we get up to.

2nd Molesey Scouts have camped in a farmer’s field on the edge of Dartmoor, at a scout camp site in Guernsey, and in Windsor Great Park.
